Trip Day 8

The previous days of travel have started taking their toll on us. For our second day in Berlin we mostly rested, sleeping in a little before going out and continuing to explore the city. We first visited the Brandenburg Gate as it was the touristy thing to do. We saw in the distance a tall tower, and figured, "that can't be too far away". How very wrong we were. After a substantial walk we made it to the base of the Statue of Victoria, or the Victory Statue. As per usual, we decided to climb the tower and get a good look at the city from the top. By this time the sun was beginning to set so we had one more thing on our agenda for the day. We wanted to visit the Rathaus. Unfortunately, you need tickets to get in and we did not have time to get them and see the Rathaus at the same time. We did get the tickets however, and we would go up the next morning. By now the sun was setting and our day was done.
